two friends I wish I had…

Here’s a great writer interview to read.

I loved Susanna Clarke’s first novel, and although I have yet to read one of his books, I love Neil Gaiman too (even I’m not sure how that is possible, but there you go). Anyway, the two of them are friends and have given this interview to Salon.

Now, if I could just get my hands on a Neil Gaiman book…

  1. What a great interview! And if you’d said this about Gaiman three days ago, I could’ve fixed you up right. Actually, my favourite work by him is the Sandman comic series, and the edition I have of that is the Absolute Sandman, so it’s about as big as a house. (Volume 1 of a projected 4 volumes.) I could lend you some novels, but I don’t know that you’d want me to drop that on you–and besides, I’m a bit precious about it.

Great interview! I read “American Gods” awhile back and was most impressed with it. I got it from the Lakeway library, which of course wouldn’t work for you – but it is available out there in the world.
