It’s the Year of the Rabbit (unless you live in Vietnam).

If you’ve followed my art, you know I love rabbits. So, I’m happy to throw myself into rabbitdom for a while. And the Chinese zodiac has encouraging things to say about the Rabbit Year.

But…

It’s the Year of the Rabbit! And I’m excited about it.

What can I say? There’s the Marta that believes in science and the Marta that believes in woo. I don’t claim to be consistent.

Ha! I’ve had the same job for over 20 years, have lived in the same neighborhood for over 20 years, and been married to the same person for over 20 years. I never changed my major in college and I’ve never waivered in my desire to write and make art. The only time I haven’t had bangs was when I went through chemo.

I might be consistent.

Usually, however, I’m actually only vaguely aware of what the animal of the year is. But most years aren’t the rabbit!

So, I’m going to have fun with it.

Here you go–a big reason I love rabbits.

And rabbits are hilarious.
