Kids will believe anything!

our kiddo when he was a bit more new and our wonder dog

“You’re a good writer, Mom,” my 7-year-old son said from the backseat. He has, of course, never read anything written (other than a greeting card or note to the teacher).

“Really?” I asked. “How do you know that?”

“Because of all those novels,” he said.

Oh those.

  1. Oh those.

LOLOL Yeah, those. 😀 Kids always believe that because you’re worked hard at something, it must be awesome because you did it and they love you. Really, what could be better? The faith of a child is amazing.

    Cute pic. 🙂

  2. This did make me laugh. Both for the kiddo’s juxtaposition of disparate facts, and for the last line.

For some reason this post puts me in mind of the nursery rhyme The Old Woman Who Lived in the Shoe. Only the woman in question isn’t old, by any means, and the “so many children” in the poem aren’t kids but novels.
