But Ada and Hermione would have made great friends, both studying and taking notes, both clever. In this day and age, Hermione received more credit, called the greatest witch of her age, saving the world. But in Ada’s time, women received next to no credit at all. One hundred years passed before Ada’s contribution to computer science became known. For all the brainy women out there sharing their gifts, acknowledged or not–a day to celebrate. Happy Ada Lovelace Day!
