How is your summer?

I spent several hours outside yesterday, which was a mad, mad thing to do. I had my notebook with me, but it seemed as if the ink was going to slid of the paper in the heat.

I wrote a few things, and then scribbled out most of what I’d written. Apparently muses prefer cool temperatures.

But now I’m inside and staring again at my current work-in-progress. I worry I’m going to be one of those people who constantly talks about rewrites and never finishes anything ever again. By big goal is to finish this round of rewrites by the time my fall semester begins in September. But if it isn’t done by my birthday in October, I’m sure I’ll have to question my life choices.
