Tomorrow, the journey into Story-a-Day September begins! I have plans, a map of sorts, but it’s likely the map will be tossed along the way. This trip is meant to be fun, and I love a tangent.
But then again, maybe I’ll stick to the route. We shall see. I’m working on that sci-fi fairytale. It is not hard sci-fi. It’s a fairytale in space. There is some real science, but there are magic birds and impossible planets. I’m making up religions and governments. There are engineering and lab experiments.
My imaginary universe has rules, but if you’re a stickler for real world physics, this won’t be the story for you. But I do follow the physics I’ve created, which is what matters to me.
I also will have another art show in October…so I’m going to be teaching five classes, writing every day, getting ready for the show, taking my kiddo to basketball practices, doing chores, running errands, and having quality family time. Right?
I’ll send these blog postcards along the way. Check in if you want to read some of the stories. As ever, if you want to support the work, there are fun things with my art here, some original creations here, and buy my first novel here.
Thanks for reading!
