Long Monday. Short writing.

septemberblog12

It’s been a long and busy Monday. When I finally sat down to write, I had no ideas. Nonetheless, I wanted to write something, even if it was almost nothing. So, I decided to add something to my sci-fi fairytale holy book. I googled “famous psalms.” (Google is really going to have a very inaccurate view of me by the time all is said and done…if it doesn’t already.)

This is a short bit of writing for today, but it will go toward that holy book. Who knows? Maybe a character will quote it some time.

One thing I’m really trying to do when writing parts of the holy book is avoid gender pronouns. Readers may assume what they want, but I’m not going to make it clear either way. I’m not sure how that will play out in the manuscript yet.

If you’re dropping by for the first time, suffice it to say that I’m writing an alternate universe, and it needs religion. And I want that religion to be familiar (even if only vaguely) but still different. There are other religions too, which I’ll write about soon.

Thanks for reading!

The God is my caretaker, I am blessed. The God shines the stars down upon me, the God guides me through deep oceans. The God nourishes my soul and lights my path. Even though I may travel through the darkness between stars, I am not frightened for the God keeps me. The God sets my altar within the sight of all and celebrates; my world is full and spilling over. I know the God’s love and care stays with me throughout time and space, and I live in the universe of the God always.
